Habitat
The Bog Bilberry is native to cool temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere, at low altitudes in the Arctic, and at high altitudes south to the Pyrenees, the Alps, and the Caucasus in Europe. It is also found in the mountains of Mongolia, northern China, central Japan, the Sierra Nevada and the Rocky Mountains in North America.
Traditional Uses
In folk medicine, bilberry leaves were used to treat gastrointestinal ailments, applied topically, or made into infusions.
Medicinal Uses
An antioxidant for the maintenance of good health.
